Men’s doubles pair Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan and Indonesian mixed doubles Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati have been eliminated from the 2024 French Open.

Henda/Ahsan lost to the host pair, Lucas Corvee/Ronan Labar with a score of 21-19, 17-21, 19-21 at the Adidas Arena, Paris, Wednesday (6/3).

Hendra said that one of the factors that caused the defeat in the match was his physical condition which had not fully improved.

“This is our first competition following the last Malaysia Open. The preparation was good but a week before leaving I got a bad flu. Ahsan was also less fit when he arrived here. We felt that his energy had not returned to 100%,” said Hendra in his statement, (6/ 3).

Meanwhile, in another match, Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati were eliminated by the pair Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino with a score of 21-14, 15-21 and 14-21.

Lisa also admitted that she had given all her abilities in the match. However, he said that the opponent was able to perform better.

“We have to admit that we lost to our opponents. After this, our focus remains on the tournament ahead, we don’t want to think too far ahead,” said Lisa. (Z-8)
