The oldest dog from La Perla, an animal welfare center that operates for the Mayor’s Office of Medellín, was adopted! Read this moving story, which from La Red Zoocial, fills us with hope and makes us believe that one day all types of pets in Colombia will have a home.

This gray dog’s name is Pantera and she had been waiting for more than 10 years to find a family that would give her a lot of love. She arrived at the Wellness Center when she was regarding four years old and with her, four of her puppies accompanied her.

This dog was able to find Claudia, her new guardian, on the bike lane, near Avenida del Poblado, while an adoption event was taking place, led by La Perla.

Everyone’s excitement filled the atmosphere and even the Secretary of the Environment of Medellín, Ana Ligia Mora, said that “everyone was very happy regarding the response of the entire community to this type of initiatives.”

These adoption days in public places will continue to be held so that citizens who want to have a pet in their home are encouraged and give one of these dogs the opportunity.
