Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported during a briefing on March 9, that Russian troops “destroyed the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system in the area of the village of Pokrovsk” in the Donetsk region.
The Russian side published a video that allegedly shows footage of the destruction of an S-300 air defense missile launcher in the Pokrovsk area. “As a result of a precise strike by the Iskander OTRK, the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed,” – stated to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Russian military bloggers, as well as RIA Novosti published a video that allegedly shows “the consequences of a strike on the S-300 division of the Ukrainian Armed Forces west of the city of Pokrovsk in the Donbass.” The impact site is approximately 50 kilometers from the front line. The description of the video says that as a result of the Russian strike, three launchers of the S-300PS air defense system, a target illumination and missile guidance radar, and two escort vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit.
At the same time, as an analysis of video recordings conducted by Meduza showed, the footage of the consequences of the impact shows the cabin of at least one MAN truck. Such trucks were part of the battery of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, which Germany transferred to Ukraine.
