According to US Central Command, US C-130s dropped more than 36,800 US and Jordanian meals into northern Gaza. US officials have said this will be an ongoing campaign and that they are considering all options, including possibly providing aid by sea and pressuring Israeli authorities to open more crossings and allow more trucks into Gaza.
The first US aid drop over the weekend supplied Gazans with more than 38,000 meals.
Aid groups say airdrops alone are not enough given the scale of the crisis.
