32 years following its broadcast, the spot “Ripey’s R-Days” returned to the local screen and with its original protagonists, now adults.
The television campaign debuted today and is now available on social networks with Matías Vega, Álvaro Varela and Felipe Pizarro, the former children dressed in yellow in the 1992 commercial strip.
“What I remember most regarding the commercial were the two days of recording; I remember it was at the Ros Films studios”Vega recalled in dialogue with BioBioChile.
“Everything was yellow and we listened to the song over and over once more, so to this day I remember that song perfectly. And yes, they recognized me on the street, those commercials ran for a long time, so people did recognize us,” added the announcer and entertainer.
Álvaro Varela, now a 38-year-old adult, recalled that, like Matías, he was registered with a talent agency at the time the spot was made.
“As I was registered with this agency I participated in many other commercials. Of those that I remember is one from Chocolate Bambino, another from Shampoo Entrete, from Hush Puppies, from Dos Alamos, Yogu Yogu, Luchetti, many others. “He made commercials and photos,” he told BioBioChile.
This is not the first reversal of a television spot from the 90s. Months ago, the #NoMaásMuertesEnElTránsito campaign also did the same with Guido Vechiola as the protagonist.
