Jake Paul announced a big stunt on Thursday. Jutta Leerdam’s friend will box once morest 57-year-old legend Mike Tyson. The fight takes place on July 20 and will be broadcast on Netflix.
“Time to put Iron Mike to sleep,” Paul announces with bravado on X. “This will be the biggest fight of this century.”
27-year-old Paul is a popular YouTuber with a penchant for boxing. He hopes to one day become world champion in this sport. The American is the friend of skater Leerdam. He has fought ten fights so far. Paul has won nine of these.
Paul doesn’t just face anyone in the ring. Tyson is elderly, but also a great in boxing. The American was a three-time world heavyweight champion and was known for his short-tempered character, which often brought him into trouble with the law.
In recent years, Tyson has developed a different reputation. He is vegan, avid pigeon fancier and sometimes plays a supporting role in a comedy film or series. In 2020, the then 54-year-old Tyson returned to the ring. He competed once morest Roy Jones Jr., who was three years younger. That match ended in a draw.
