Dorfbox: Pfaffing gets a local supplier

The 1,500 residents of Pfaffing receive a local supplier in the form of a village box in which they can buy all everyday goods seven days a week. The ceremonial opening will take place on Friday at 2 p.m.

The system is based on self-service. No staff is needed to pay either. Customers simply scan their goods and pay with their debit card. Caroline Seber, the operator of the village box, already runs village boxes in St. Georgen and Pöndorf.

Because more and more people want to consume more consciously, Seber relies on a selected range – not least when it comes to food. In addition to a wide range of regional products such as fruit and vegetables as well as bread and organic pastries, there is also meat and fish as well as dairy and frozen products.
Mayor Gabriele Aigenstuhler (SPÖ) is happy regarding the new offer in the middle of the town: “It’s nice that we now have a local supplier that offers a wide variety of regional products,” she says.
