This day, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) began the Probationary Hearing once morest the former FMLN deputy, Lorena Guadalupe Peña Mendoza, and her daughter Ana Virginia Guardado Peña, who have been civilly sued for illicit enrichment.
Thanks to the investigations, the FGR has sufficient evidence that demonstrates 15 irregularities in its increase in assets, for an amount of $277,482.54 dollars.
Lorena Peña is being prosecuted for 7 irregularities for a total of $140,521.60 dollars, an increase she obtained during the periods she served as a deputy for the left-wing party, from 2012 to 2018.
For her part, her daughter is accused of 8 irregularities for an amount of US$136,960.94 in cash bank deposits and credit card payments.
