The San Martin Sports Club field shows a renewed and improved face. The sports venue located on Bueras Street, presents a series of improvements, thanks to the joint work with the Municipality of Chillán, which during this week held the delivery ceremony of the improvement works and whose investment is around $70 million.
The works in the northern sector of the city consist of construction of exterior pavements and sidewalks, construction of stands, roofs and exterior eaves, warehouse, women’s dressing room, placement of ceramics in all dressing rooms, casino, walls and floors. In addition, the installation of bathrooms, vanities, and heating was carried out, which goes hand in hand with sewer cameras and lighting and electricity.
The mayor of Chillán, Camilo Benavente, established that from the municipal administration there is a commitment to all sports, including amateur soccer, which not only generates competition every weekend, but also a sense of roots and training of young athletes. through football schools. “Chillán has had a supportive behavior with football in general, we are improving the public sports infrastructure, but with a more fundamental focus such as the training of children.” the mayor pointed out.

The improvements to the San Martín field are part of those already carried out in other sectors such as in the Ultraestación stadiums, in the town of El Roble and in Los Volcanes, among others.
