Sc Heerenveen won the home match once morest PEC Zwolle 2-0. With this victory, the club from Friesland has climbed to ninth place in the rankings and thus has the prospect of a ticket for the play-offs for European football.
Anas Tahiri, substituted for the injured Luuk Brouwers, converted a penalty in injury time of the first half. He was allowed to take a penalty following a foul by Filip Krastev on Heerenveen striker Osame Sahraoui.
Pelle van Amersfoort scored the second goal in the 67th minute. The striker has scored five times in his last four league matches, following three goals in his first seventeen matches of this season in the Eredivisie. Van Amersfoort also scored in the 25th minute. But that goal was disallowed because he had taken the ball with one hand.
Thomas Lam had a great chance to score the equalizer in the opening phase of the second half. The defender bumped into Mickey van der Hart, the home team’s goalkeeper. Due to the defeat, PEC Zwolle saw its gap with Heerenveen grow to 4 points.
