The Russian army said yesterday that it had neutralized the landing of Ukrainian special forces in the Kherson region, claiming to have killed “up to 25 soldiers” and captured a soldier.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that soldiers “destroyed a Ukrainian sabotage group (…) that had attempted to land in speedboats” near the Tendrivska Isthmus, located along the occupied part of the Ukrainian region of Kherson, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin expressed, yesterday, satisfaction with what he said was progress made by Russian troops in Ukraine, who “obtained several successes in recent weeks once morest Kiev’s forces” who are on the defensive and low on ammunition.
“The military capabilities of the (Russian) Armed Forces have been multiplied. They are moving confidently in several directions” on the front line, declared the Russian President in a speech to the country.
