Achaia Member of Parliament Sia Anagnostopoulou submitted today to the Minister of Health a parliamentary question on: “Why is the Law not implemented and the transfer of employees of the University General Hospital of Patras not completed to a position in a higher category department?”.

In detail the question states:

In 2020, the 1st Joint Service Council of the 6th Ministry of Education. with the no. 6/21.12.2020 Act of unanimously voted in favor of the reclassification of ten [10] employees of the University General Hospital of Patras in a position of a higher category of branch – the one they served – and namely in a position of the University Education category [Π.Ε.] of the Administrative – Accounting branch as having the corresponding qualifications and in accordance with the applicable provisions of articles 70 and 73 of Law 3528/2007 [Κώδικας Δημοσίων Υπαλλήλων και Υπαλλήλων Ν.Π.Δ.Δ.] and article 35 par. 5 of Law 4024/2011 [Φ.Ε.Κ. Α΄ 226/27.10.2011].

However, despite the positive recommendation of the Service Council, their reassignment was not completed at the time, and this without any substantial response from the Management as to the reasons for this unreasonably long delay. The Governor of the University General Hospital of Patras had stated at the time that he found misconduct and non-compliance with the prescribed articles of the Civil Service Code, that the competent service of the hospital identified some failures at the level of documents and procedures and that he referred the matter back to the Service Council requesting that the relevant corrections for legality reasons. He had stressed that the delay was not due to the hospital but that the tenure of the service council had expired a few days following the meeting and that he was waiting for the appointment of the new service council to move this matter forward.

The member of parliament of Achaia asks the responsible Minister why no decision has been issued for their transfer, since the employees also meet the conditions of the law and have the relevant qualifications, in order to avoid further financial and mental suffering for them and what actions the minister intends to take so that the relevant Law is implemented?
