Thiruvananthapuram: Local Self-Government Minister MB Rajesh Thiruvananthapuram will inaugurate Kudumbashree’s ‘Lunch Bell’ project, which brings lunch to you with a single click, at KTDC Grand Chaitram on the 5th at 10 am. Antony Raju MLA will preside.
In the first phase, mid-day meal will be distributed in Thiruvananthapuram Secretariat, Legislative Assembly, Vikas Bhavan, government offices, banks and other private institutions in public office areas. The aim of the project is to strengthen the representation of Kudumbashree in the field of online food delivery and create more employment opportunities for women. Orders can be placed through Kudumbashree’s food delivery app ‘Pocketmart’. The budget lunch which includes rice, sambar, pickle, koutukary and pulissery is available for Rs 60 and the premium lunch which includes non-veg dishes is available for Rs 99. Each day’s lunch can be ordered until 7:00 that morning. The person who ordered before 12 noon will get the parcel ready for delivery by 10 am. It is also possible to pre-book a month’s lunch according to the customer’s office working days.
