The Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekas, emphasized the necessity for establishing a new insurance culture and consciousness, especially with the severe weather phenomena, at the Cooperative Insurance event for the announcement of its new name, SYNDEA.
Specifically, Mr. Skrekas pointed out: “The new demands of everyday life and especially with the severe weather phenomena, create the need to establish a new insurance culture and awareness.
For this very reason, together with the Ministry of National Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Climate Crisis, we are proceeding with the planning of new measures to strengthen cooperatives and the insurance sector. Our goal is to make the economic and social life of citizens safer.”
In addition, the minister noted that “in the development law and the new development regime, which we will announce in the next two months, we will reward, strengthen and prioritize companies that will proceed with mergers”.
