MIAMI, Florida – On a chaotic followingnoon, Hollywood was caught up in a whirlwind of natural events that kept emergency crews busy for much of the day. One street in particular was closed due to a water main burst, completely submerging this neighborhood under water. The rain, accompanied by hail, left visible damage in the area.

The unusual storm not only brought heavy rain, but also hail that contributed to flooding and downed trees in Hollywood. In a neighborhood just minutes from the Hard Rock Hotel, several residents were left without power, adding complications to an already challenging situation.

The magnitude of the disaster was documented through numerous telephones, capturing images of completely flooded sectors, especially on North Sheridan Street between 64th and 72nd Avenues. Several traffic lights out complicated the mobility of drivers in the area, generating additional difficulties.

A few blocks away, on Evans Street, emergency crews responded to a water main break, closing 66th Avenue late into the night. The streets filled with water, adding more challenges to residents and local authorities.

In Broward, specifically in Plantation, many roads were flooded, as evidenced by the shocking images. In addition, strong winds caused damage to businesses throughout Miami Dade, where hail and flooding were also reported in several cities. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far.

As emergency crews work tirelessly, the streets of Hollywood are slowly drying out. However, authorities have not yet provided an accurate estimate on how long it will take to fix the pipe rupture and restore normalcy in the city.
