Minuto30.com .- The Mayor of Pasto, Nicolás Toro Muñoz, spoke on the night of March 3 regarding the events that occurred during a traffic operation, in which police officers attacked a couple in what would be an alleged abuse of authority.
The president demands that the police carry out an exhaustive investigation that will lead to clarifying the incident and, if necessary, even removing the uniformed officers who carried out the unfortunate event from the institution.
The Mayor’s Office of Pasto categorically rejects the attacks
In the video, Nicolás Toro Muñoz categorically rejects the attacks suffered by the woman and immediately requests the opening of the pertinent investigations.

Toro Muñoz also demands the opening of disciplinary and criminal processes, if applicable, for any sanctions that may apply, including immediate removal from service.

In the last few hours, a video was released that has gone viral on the networks, in which several police officers are seen who were allegedly attacking a couple, in events that occurred in Pasto.
In the video you can see that the woman rebukes a police officer, saying “why do you allow that?” Shortly following, the uniformed man pushes the woman once morest the wall, also taking the young man who is with her.
Then the couple falls to the floor and the young man is immobilized with a key by another uniformed man and the woman is thrown to the floor once once more by the police officer with whom she had the verbal confrontation.

The Pasto Police issued a statement, following the video of what would be an alleged assault and abuse of authority by several police officers once morest a couple went viral on networks, in events that occurred in the capital of Nariño.
The Police recognize that the events occurred during “a municipal traffic accompaniment procedure to control citizens who drive while intoxicated and violating traffic regulations.”
