Milagro Navas, ARENA candidate for La Libertad Este, has declared herself the winner of the municipal elections tonight in a celebration in the central park of Antiguo Cuscatlán.
Based on her own numbers, Navas assured that she will be the new mayor of the mega-municipality that will cover Antiguo Cuscatlán, Nuevo Cuscatlán, San José Villanueva, Zaragoza and Huizúcar.

In several voting centers, the mayor of Antiguo Cuscatlán accumulated more than 200 votes above her competitor Michelle Sol, from Nuevas Ideas, and current Minister of Housing.
In Nuevo Cuscatlán, according to data from ARENA representatives, it had surpassed Nuevas Ideas by a ratio of 2 to 1; in Antiguo Cuscatlán the ratio is 3 to 1 and in Zaragoza 2 to 1.
For example, in JRV 4352, in Zaragoza, they reported 175 votes for ARENA and 83 for Nuevas Ideas.
