One thousand and 67 young people completed, on Monday, in Lubango, Huíla, a technical-professional training course, within the scope of the “Intercalar” project, promoted by the National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP)

The professional technical courses took place from December 2023 to the present date, in a phased manner, with the goal being to train 10 thousand young people in the next ten months.

According to the director of INEFOP, in Huíla, Alberto Bartolomeu, the young graduates will receive, individually, 500 thousand reimbursable kwanzas, and per cooperative, the credit is seven million, financing from Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI).

Without revealing the grace period, he highlighted that the credit affects the categories of commerce, retreading, opening of kitchens and pastry shops, among other branches of knowledge and will constitute an added value for young people, as it will contribute to minimizing hunger. and poverty.

“We have registered so far 200 cooperatives that will benefit from 200 micro-credits estimated at more than 140 million kwanzas, which will begin to be financed from March, with the agreements between INEFOP and BAI already initialed”, he said.

He announced that in general terms, INEFOP has enrolled 1,900 young people in the training year, 136 fewer compared to 2023, the launch of which took place yesterday, Tuesday, in one of the primary schools in Mutundo, on the outskirts of this city.

Since its institutionalization in 1978, the institution has launched 12 thousand young people into the job market, with different technical and professional skills.
