Red is the color of love, energy, passion and femininity. Any woman who wears a red dress or a red pants suit is immediately noticed. The red fashion trend is indispensable this year. With red we conjure up expressive looks and can put together great combinations with it. Whether red with white, red with black or red with pink – these are strong accents that look particularly good on a winter type. But beige, brown and orange are also perfect combination partners with red for warm color types, such as spring and autumn types.
If you like something particularly elegant and classy, you can wear red as a monochrome look. I was and am so brave and like to wear RED from head to toe.
Fashion trend Rot – Monochromer Look
My red look consists of a sleeveless dress that is tighter in the upper body and then tapered to a generous A-line. The further cut swings really well with every movement. Since the temperatures currently don’t allow me to wear a sleeveless dress throughout the day, I’m combining it with my red blazer.
Red and white – strong contrasts
You’ve probably worn the combination of red and white before. My red sweater goes perfectly with white pants or white jeans, especially at this time of year. When the sun is shining, I wear the red sweater casually draped over my shoulders as a fashion companion. Red ankle boots repeat the red tone and thus form a unit for a stylish look.
The red sunglasses are an extravagant highlight for all fashion-conscious ladies. That’s why I stayed cautious when it came to jewelry. The long pearl necklace complements the oversized blouse perfectly and stretches the upper body thanks to its longitudinal emphasis. For a little color contrast, I grab the blue bag.
Which red suits your color type?
As a winter type, I wear an intense red, which has more blue components when mixed. For a red tone that is suitable for warm color types, i.e. spring and autumn types, more yellow is added when the color nuance is mixed.
- Colors for the cooler color type, such as summer and winter types, have more blue components.
All blue-tinged red tones such as raspberry red, watermelon, wine red, blackberry red or cherry red are suitable for cold color types. - Colors for the warm color type, spring and autumn type, have more yellow added when mixed.
For example, coral, melon, salsa, lobster, brick red or orange-red are flattering for warm color types.
My advice:
- If possible, avoid combining warm and cold red tones together if you value a harmonious appearance.
- More than three different shades of red should not be combined with each other.

- If you want to focus all the attention on you and your appearance, then choose red as the base color for your look. Combine red pants with a red sweater or with a red blouse. As a jacket or blazer, choose blue, beige or shades of gray.
- If red comes into play as a combination partner, combine a classic: black or gray, white or cream, plus a shade of red from your color palette – you’ll always be right.
- If red is too dominant for you as a clothing color, you can use this color fashion trend when choosing your accessories, such as shoes, bags, glasses or scarves.
- In order not to stand out, combine your red tone with neutral colors such as beige, white, black or cream.
I see RED!
Don’t be afraid of red. Of course, we should definitely not wear anything red to the next performance review; I recommend blue or harmonious pastel tones. But for the next meeting with friends, a meeting with several colleagues, the next date with a new partner or whenever we want to feel good and look great – RED IS THE ALL-ROUNDER!
