“A big thank you to the people of the Attica University Hospital! I resorted to their help to cope with the crisis of acute cholecystitis that occurred to me.
Yesterday I underwent laparoscopic surgery and today I left the Hospital. Well, despite the great pressure that the Attica Hospital receives – perhaps as a result of its good reputation – it provides high-level services. What I saw is that in this NHS hospital there is a strong team of doctors, nurses and administrators with humane treatment, professionalism and willingness to offer.
Yes, I know: We need the support of the NHS – we have increased spending by 46% since 2019 – more recruitment, which is already “running”, more rational planning, which is promoted by the Ministry of Health, but also proper utilization of spending, a project that we coordinate together the Ministries of Finance and Health.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank the Professor of Surgery of the EKPA Nikos Arkadopoulos, president of the School of Medicine (photo) who operated on me, the team of the 4th Surgery University Clinic, the Professor of Anesthesiology Tatiana Sidiropoulou and her team, the hospital administration and the Professors Amanda Psirri and Gerasimos Filippatos, in whose clinics I did all the necessary tests. My friends Professors Sotiris Tsiodras and Panagiotis Papagelopoulos, whom I had the pleasure of meeting, also serve in Attiko.
