Guatemala’s Under 20 team values the team’s work prior to the duel once morest Aruba

The Guatemalan Under 20 National Team is competing in the country in the Concacaf qualifier for the Pre-World Cup of the category that will be held in Mexico between July and August 2024. The national team, led by coach Marvin Cabrera, has worked at the Training Center. High Performance (CAR) of the National Soccer Federation following the victory achieved on February 25 once morest San Martín and is already getting ready to face Aruba on February 28 on the Doroteo Guamuch Flores field.
Prior to the duel that the team will hold once morest Aruba, vital in the objective of its classification, Fedefut shared statements from one of the footballers who started in its last victory.
Nathan Mendelyan, a soccer player with Guatemalan and Armenian nationality and member of the Lions United USPL, expressed that the bicolor is waiting for a strong and fast Aruba, but he believes that the national team plays well.
“They are strong and fast, but we play very well. We need to classify“, he expressed in statements collected by Fedefut.
Mendelyan was born on February 24, 2005 and at just turned 19, he is enjoying his time with the blue and white:
“I like playing with this team, I like Guatemala. I like the stadium and the fans, on Thursday we need to play well and I think we can. (beat Aruba)“he concluded.
Guatemala is currently located in second position in Group C of the Concacaf qualifier for the Mexico World Cup. However, the bicolor has one game less than Curacao, a rival that occupies the first place with 7 points.
If Guatemala beats Aruba on Thursday, February 28, it will be enough for them to get a draw once morest Curacao on Saturday, March 2 to get their place in the World Cup in Mexico.
