In September, the special platform of AADE is expected to be activated for the issuance of the new digital certificate of citizens’ financial awareness. This certificate will include all the elements of the tax and insurance awareness tof the applicant but will be issued following the interested party first submits a relevant application.
When the process of submitting the interested party’s application will be completed, the data will be automatically checked and if all the criteria and conditions are met, the new certificate will be issued under the exact same conditions that govern the issuance of the tax and insurance information.
However, it is clarified that this certificate will not be granted to citizens who have unregulated or overdue debts either to the Tax Office or to the Insurance Funds. Essentially, the AADE will replace the current proof of tax and insurance awareness. It is reminded that today taxpayers who have settled or overdue debts can automatically receive tax information within a few minutes for their transactions such as for the transfer of real estate or the collection of money from the government.
The decision of the AADE
In detail, the decision of the AADE states the following regarding the issuance of the certificate of financial awareness:
Any natural or legal person or legal entity may request, through a special platform accessible through the Unified Digital Portal of the Public Administration (gov.gr-EPSP), the issuance of a single certificate of financial awareness. The certificate includes the details of the proof of tax awareness and the proof of insurance awareness and is issued in digital format.
The certificate of financial awareness is considered valid for any legal use and is compulsorily accepted by all public and private sector bodies, as well as by natural or legal persons or legal entities, courts of all levels and prosecutors’ offices throughout the country when it is once morest the presentation of the above evidence of awareness is mandatory by law.
For the issuance of the certificate of financial awareness, the platform derives through interoperability the necessary data from the tax register information system of the Independent Public Revenue Authority and the information system of the Electronic National Social Security Agency. The required interoperability is ensured through the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat of Public Administration Information Systems of the Ministry of Digital Governance.
