The Vienna public prosecutor’s office has brought charges once morest a 38-year-old woman who is said to have abseiled her four-year-old daughter with knotted bedsheets from her second-floor apartment in Vienna-Döbling on February 15th in order to save the girl from the city of Vienna’s child and youth welfare service (MA 11). The woman is accused of endangering physical safety (§ 89 StGB) and child abduction (§ 195 StGB). There is already a trial date.
The trial once morest the mother of three will take place on March 11th, the state criminal court announced on Friday followingnoon in response to an APA request. The 38-year-old has been in custody for two weeks. A detention review date scheduled for today, Friday, is obsolete in view of the main hearing that has already been scheduled. The defendant remains in custody until the trial date.
