Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag, coach of Manchester United, called on Fulham to apologize following mocking Portuguese Bruno Fernandes, the team’s captain and midfielder.

The British news agency (PA Media) reported that Manchester United coach Ten Hag launched his attack following criticism that the team captain claimed injury following his team’s victory yesterday over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.

Before next Sunday’s match once morest Manchester City, Ten Hag was asked regarding a Fulham FC post on the TikTok platform, which showed Fernandes falling on the field during the two teams’ match last Saturday in the English Premier League championship, with the comment: “We are happy that he is fine.”

The Dutch coach said: “I don’t know that, but if they did that, I would say it’s not true. Of course, it’s not true at all for a club like this to issue a statement. They are wrong and they must apologise.”

Ten Hag expressed his belief that Nottingham Forest players were targeting Fernandes in their interventions, and said: “He is a great footballer and he creates a lot of chances. He is the one who creates the most chances in the English Premier League.”

He concluded: “You see how competitors target him in matches, especially following last Saturday’s match, when he suffered a bruise and they saw that. I felt following that that the referee should protect him. They had to change at the beginning of the match because it was clear that they were targeting him.”
