The Styrian attacked and injured a 59-year-old acquaintance with an ax and two knives in the Geidorf district of Graz on Friday evening. The victim suffered a cut to the neck and facial area. The public prosecutor’s office ordered the arrest on suspicion of attempted murder.
The suspect was on the run until Tuesday. In Pörtschach, apparently following a tip-off, the handcuffs clicked for the 43-year-old. His car was spotted near the train station around 2:30 p.m. All patrols and the Cobra emergency services arrived and arrested the man.
