There are many cars that, according to studies that have been carried out, offer guarantees of fewer breakdowns during use.

According to a publication made in the Vehicle Dependability Study by the American consulting firm JD Power, which analyzed the vehicles of 30,595 people who purchased their car in 2021 and investigated which areas of the vehicle had suffered the most damage. After observing the results , the consulting firm developed an index that calculates the number of problems per 100 cars sold.

The car brand that tops the list with only 135 breakdowns is Lexus, followed by Toyota with 147, Buick 149, Chevrolet and Mini 174 and Porsche with 175.

So far, the first five automobile brands analyzed and it is in the number seven position in the ranking that a Japanese brand appears, Mazda.

This registers 185 breakdowns in its models, followed by Kia with 187 and finishing the top 10 on the list are BMW and Dodge. Leaving this top 10, there are recognized brands such as Hyundai in 13th place with 198 and Nissan in 15th with 199. .

According to Vanguardia, this report coincides with one issued by the Organization of Consumers and Users -OCU- in 2022, in which around 52,000 drivers in five countries were surveyed.

In this report, Lexus is also recorded as the most reliable brand with 95% reliability.

However, some Asian brands appear closer, such as Subaru, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Kia, Suzuki, Hyundai, Mazda and Honda, with a reliability between 85 and 93%.

Likewise, the analysis recorded that among cars that operate with gasoline, the Kia Río and the Hyundai i29 stand out among the first places, and among the hybrids are the Lexus, once more, and the Toyota Corolla.

Among the electric cars that occupy the first places in reliability, according to the report, are the Kia Niro and the Mitsubishi Outlander.

However, according to the report, the most reliable cars are gasoline hybrids with 95% satisfaction.

Among the most common problems that these cars present are electrical faults with 17 percent, electronic faults with eight percent, brakes 13 percent and engine eight percent.
