Spelling the name of the new product in Russian – “Paladin” – is a fundamental point. This is the first foreign car in the Russian Federation, the name of which will be written in Cyrillic. The importer registered the corresponding trademark in early February. On the fifth door the name of the new product is written in Russian.

This model is produced by a joint venture between Dongfeng and Nissan – Zhengzhou Nissan (parent company – Sinomach concern). The Paladin is somewhat different from the original Nissan model. While the appearance has hardly changed, the differences in technology are serious: instead of a naturally-aspirated Nissan engine (2.5 liters, 193 hp, 245 Nm) and a Jatco seven-speed automatic transmission, there is a licensed Mitsubishi turbo engine (2.0 turbo, 218 hp. , 360 Nm) and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
The frame SUV is created according to the classic design: at the rear there is a continuous axle, the front axle is rigidly connected (without a center differential). Ground clearance – 215 mm.
The Paladin’s interior is very different from Nissan’s. On the front panel, instead of the usual multimedia and climate control knobs, there is a large 12-inch vertical tablet. There is also wireless charging for a smartphone, an electric sunroof, parking sensors, an all-round visibility system, and adaptive cruise control.

The new product is available in four trim levels at prices ranging from 3,799,000 to 4,499,000 rubles.
There are five exterior paint options to choose from: Meteorite Grey, Super Black, Amber Brown, Pearl White and Metallic Silver.
“Paladin” is available in Oting brand showrooms in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, Penza, Samara, Barnaul and Krasnodar.
