Slavia – Pardubice 3:0, Slavia beat Pardubice and got closer to Sparta

Sláviste won the seventh of the last eight rounds, and from the second place in the incomplete table they lose a point to Sparta, which, however, has an evening game in Slovácko as a bonus. In a week, Vršovičtí will present themselves in the derby at Letná, before that they will welcome their rival from Prague in the quarter-finals of the domestic cup on Wednesday. Pardubice lost for the first time in the fourth duel in the spring and are thirteenth in the table.

Slavist coach Trpišovský saved a few supports in the beginning before the upcoming derby. He did not put one of the captains Holeš, Chytil or Provod in the starting line-up. For the first time in the spring, the stopper Vlček and the recovered midfielder Zafeiris jumped in, then Tijani and Van Buren got a chance in the attack.

As expected, the Praguers dictated the pace of the game from the start, but they did not succeed in the final phase. In the 18th minute, Tijani’s ground shot was covered by the goalkeeper Budinský, who in a moment also dealt with a hard shot by Wallem.

The Norwegian midfielder was very active. In the 36th minute, he got rid of the defender, but did not shoot the Pardubice goalkeeper. Shortly followingwards, Van Buren hit Daňko in the head during a jump, but referee Radin did not whistle for a foul and neither did the video referee intervene. At the end of the long setup of the first half, he headed a short distance past Tijani.

In the second act, Trpišovský started Chytil and Provod and withdrew Van Buren and the injured Zafeiris for the games. The Slavists continued their onslaught, but in the 47th minute, Tijani failed to get through and Ogbua was caught by Budinský.

The home coach then sent two more alternating players, Masopust and Zmrzlý, onto the pitch, and the favorite opened the scoring shortly followingwards. Masopust crossed from the right and Chytil beat Budínský with a header from close range.

Substitute players also contributed to the other two goals. In the 72nd minute, Ševčík sent Provod out with a vertical shot, which was caught by the Pardubice goalkeeper, but the onrushing Chytil already knocked the ball into the net from close range. In the next two minutes, the Czech representative and former Pardubice striker completed his first hat-trick in the top competition following beating Budinski from the first following a pass from the left from Provod.

Chytil scored three times in eight minutes to tie the fastest hat trick in individual league history. Former Spartan striker Siegl scored between the 80th and 88th minutes in a 4-0 win over Dukla in March 1994. In this year’s top competition, he scored ten times and is only a goal short of the leader of the Gunners Pilsen Šulce table.

The Slavists finished the match well and might have added at least one more goal. In the 78th minute, however, Tijani hit the post and a moment later Budinský struck once morest Zmrzlé, who missed the first competitive goal for Prague.
