The Commander-in-Chief of the National Police Forces, General Serge Hervé Ngoma, has, in a decision, suspended as a precautionary measure, six officers suspected of being at the base of a large-scale fraud having compromised the results of this competition of incorporation launched on September 9, 2023.

“In accordance with the provisions of law no.o030/2020 of December 24, 2020 mentioned above, the officers below, in service in the various units of the National Police Forces, are suspended from duty as a precautionary measure and placed under house arrest for a period of one (01) month, while awaiting the conclusions of the investigation”, insists the decision of the COCHEF of the Gabonese Police.

The suspended officers include: Guy Sylvain Meye M’Owono (Lieutenant-Colonel); Junior Angels Nzoghe Aboghe (Commander); Aîcha P. Moussavou Ouedraogo (Commander); Linda Manzou Nzikouet (Commander); Arnoh J. Manfoumbi Boussougou (Captain) and Hurelle Priscillia Diavou Mbola (Captain).

The provisions of article 2 of the decision expressly emphasize that these officers are made available to the General Inspectorate of the National Police Forces for investigation, following “the flaws noted during the organization of the integration competition in the National Police Forces and the disclosure of confidential documents, via social networks”.

The results of this police competition, published on February 16, were vigorously contested by the unsuccessful candidates.

In a press release, the Chief Police Command indicated that 4,565 out of 6,206 admitted to this entrance exam to the Gabonese national police were singled out and then rejected for false birth certificates, false diplomas or usurpation of Gabonese nationality. . Other candidates were rejected for criminal records or behavior incompatible with police duty.
