Authorities accuse Daniela Klette, along with her partners Burkhard Gerweg and Essent-Föhler Staub, of attempted murder and a series of armed robberies between 1999 and 2016.
The public prosecutor’s office in Werden, Lower Saxony, believes that the armed robberies were not politically motivated but were committed for financial reasons.
Daniela Klette is suspected along with Burkhard Gerweg and Essent-Föhler Staub, based on DNA analyses, of a series of armed supermarket robberies and money laundering in North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony.

The RAF is responsible for killing more than 30 people and injuring at least 200.
Staub, Klette and Garweg belonged to the third generation of the RAF, which was active in the 1980s and 1990s.
Members of the third generation are believed to have murdered the head of Deutsche Bank Alfred Herrhausen and Treuhand, the agency tasked with managing and privatizing state assets in East Germany following German reunification, Detlef Rochwender.
In 1998 a statement signed by the RAF sent to Reuters announced the disbandment of the organisation.
