The Kremlin (presidency) described as “shameful” the statements made by the President of the United States, Joe Biden, who described Vladimir Putin as “crazy” during a meeting of the Democratic Party
“It is an immense shame for (…) the United States. If the president of a country uses such lexicon… they should be ashamed,” declared Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov in a video broadcast yesterday by a journalist from Russian public television, cited by Reuters.
Peskov added that “it is clear that Biden is demonstrating, for internal political reasons, the style typical of a ‘Hollywood cowboy’”.
During a fundraising campaign for presidential re-election, Joe Biden referred to Russian President Vladimir Putin as “crazy.”
Biden was referring to climate change when he stated that “we have a crazy person like Putin and others, and we always have to worry regarding nuclear conflicts, but the existential threat to humanity is the climate”.
Speaking to donors in San Francisco, California, Wednesday, Biden also said he was “stunned” by recent comments made by Donald Trump regarding the death of Alexei Navalny.
The former North American head of state compared the facts related to oppositionist Alexei Navalny to the legal problems he faces in the United States.
Donald Trump was fined 350 million dollars (USD 1.00 is equivalent to Kz 828, 5139) following a New York judge discovered that he lied for several years regarding his assets and financial holdings in companies.
The former president said that the North American court’s decision was a form of “communism or fascism”.
