A Samsung may be developing a variant more potent of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 instead of a model more accessible of the foldable. As speculated by Roland Quandt do portal WinFuturethere is a possibility that the company is working on an Ultra version of the model, and not one called FE, as mentioned by previous rumors.
In general, there has been talk for a long time regarding the company’s chance of presenting a third foldable smartphone in the second half of the year. As the company has been studying ways to lower production costs to launch lower-cost models, there was talk regarding the possibility of it launching a Z Fold 6 FE or a foldable to make up the A line of intermediaries.
However, the latest rumors spark debate regarding the launch of a Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. This device would be codenamed “Q6A”, while the traditional version of the foldable has “Q6” e “B6” is for the Flip model. There is no mention of a fourth device, so this additional cell phone is a high-end or more affordable device.
Therefore, the question remains regarding the characteristics of this Ultra version of the foldable, since normally the traditional model already has practically everything that is most advanced available at the moment. Some attributes that can be implemented include a slot for the S Pen and stylus, as well as a larger battery compared to its foldable brothers.
Another important detail is that rumors talk regarding Samsung bringing its best cameras to the foldable line. So, it might take advantage and launch an ultra model with better photo sensors. On the other hand, the Z Fold 5 was launched for a suggested retail price of R$ 13.799, which is already quite high. The launch of a more powerful variant would imply even higher values.
In any case, we can only wait for more news regarding Samsung’s future foldables, which may even feature a design more similar to the look of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
