Rise in tobacco prices
The prices of certain tobaccos will increase further on March 1, according to a decree published on February 9 in the Official Journal. The price increase will be 50 to 75 cents depending on the packages.

For example, packs of 20 Lucky Strike blue cigarettes will see their price increase from 11.50 to 12 euros, packs of 25 units of Winfield red XL will increase from 14.40 to 15 euros. All these price increases from March 1st are displayed on the French customs website.
Fewer promotions on non-food products
The Descrozaille law, adopted in March 2023, will come into force. The text notably regulates the promotions of certain non-food products. In particular hygiene, maintenance or perfumery products. These promotions will now be capped at 34%.
The expanded conditioned RSA
The system does not change but it is expanding. Until now tested in 18 departments, the conditioning of the RSA to 15 hours of weekly activity will now be applied in 29 additional territories by the month of March. The Ministry of Labor n has still not specified the list of new departments in question.
Modification of Agirc-Arrco pensions
Some retirement pensions paid by Agirc-Arrco will decrease and others will increase. The supplementary pension is subject to social security contributions (CASA, health contribution, CRDS and CSG) which are set according to the last income tax notice.

Clearly, if a pensioner’s income has increased, social security contributions will follow and therefore the Agirc-Arrco pension should decrease and vice versa if income has decreased.

From March 1, meal vouchers dating from 2023 will no longer be valid. Best way not to lose them: transfer them to your 2024 balance.
The transition to summer time
The changeover to summer time will take place on the night of Saturday March 30 to Sunday March 31, during the Easter weekend. At 2 a.m., it will then be 3 o’clock.
