The objective is to promote organized screening for colorectal cancer and to raise awareness of the prevention of this cancer through physical activity, which is recognized as reducing the risks of developing this cancer.

From March 11 to April 1, 2024, participate as a team in a connected challenge in Burgundy-Franche-Comté on the occasion of Mars Bleu, a national campaign to raise awareness of colorectal cancer screening. The objective: to achieve as many steps as possible as a team and, for the most motivated, to take on different challenges each week. This challenge will be an opportunity to learn more regarding this cancer and its prevention.
This challenge is free and open to all, registrations from February 26. Why connected challenge? For Blue Mars 2024, the Regional Cancer Screening Coordination Center of Burgundy-Franche-Comté (CRCDC – BFC) is organizing another year this year. collective challenge. Its objective is to promote organized screening for colorectal cancer and to raise awareness of the prevention of this cancer through physical activity, which is recognized as reducing the risks of developing this cancer.

This new edition is special, this challenge and its organization being supported by 11 Regional Cancer Screening Coordination Centers. Participants will thus have access to a national ranking and a departmental ranking, and will receive prevention messages on colorectal cancer as well as news on Mars Bleu actions in their department. The challenge is free and open to everyone. The only rewards for the challenge will be having practiced regular physical activity and having participated in a national health awareness action.

It is organized thanks to the financial support of the Regional Health Agency of Burgundy-Franche-Comté and the departmental council of Haute-Saône.

How to participate ? Simply download the dedicated smartphone application – Kiplin – for free, enter the registration code CRCDCMARSBLEU, and you can start walking or running! In a team of five people maximum, you will be able to take on different challenges such as answering a quiz, competing once morest another team over the course of a day, taking more than 8,000 steps daily, etc.
A real-time individual and team ranking will allow everyday people to surpass themselves. You will also be able to exchange live using the application with the CRCDC – BFC.

Colorectal cancer is the 3rd most common cancer in men and the 2nd in women. It is also the 2nd cause of cancer death in France. Each year, more than 47,000 new cases are detected in France. Every two years, Burgundy-Francs-Comtois aged 50 to 74 are invited to have their colorectal cancer screening exam. However, participation in this screening remains too low: 34.3% for the period 2021-2022 in France.
Throughout the month of March and through multiple actions in the region, the CRCDC – BFC is reaching out to residents to remind people of the importance of carrying out this examination and to raise awareness regarding this screening.
