Joseph Paintsil has not missed his debut in the MLS. The lively Ghanaian played an excellent match and made things difficult for Lionel Messi and Inter Miami. The former Genk player was showered with praise on social media. Lionel Messi once once more crowned hero of the evening in injury time by avoiding a first defeat of the season.
“He’s going to be a star.” Minute 86 in the match between LA Galaxy and Inter Miami, it is then 1-0 for the home team. Joseph Paintsil leaves following an excellent debut and is showered with praise on social media. Rightly so too. Paintsil was a scourge for Inter Miami’s defense. Jordi Alba (ex-Barcelona) had his hands full.
The Ghanaian winger shot no fewer than seven times on goal and drew a penalty following thirteen minutes. Riqui Puig missed from the stop. Paintsil dribbled away, even Lionel Messi had to use the emergency brake to stop him.

Only fifteen minutes before the end was Joveljic able to open the score, 1-0. LA Galaxy seemed to be winning its first match of the season, until Lionel Messi’s moment came. In minute 89 he kicked a great chance wide, but four minutes later he scored on a pass from Jordi Alba.

All in all, a successful evening for Paintsil and LA Galaxy. Inter Miami has invested enormously in recent months and attracted Luis Suárez, among others, to strengthen the team. Messi and co are one of the favorites to dominate the American league.
