The countdown for Patras to acquire another cell of culture has already begun as the start of work on the renovation and transformation of the Old Municipal Hospital into an exhibition-museum space and a digital audio-visual heritage center, artistic creation workshops and a conference center begins immediately.
The installation of the contractor forced the evacuation of the emblematic building which, for a number of years, among other things, houses the Art Workshop of the Municipality of Patreon with the departments of Painting, Ceramics, Hagiography and History of Art, which this year is attended by 430 students.
As part of the start of the revival work of the Old Municipal Hospital, the Art Workshop is being moved to a new building and will be housed at 16 Autokratoros Theodosiou Street (old 20th Primary School) which is located in the area of Agios Ioannis Pratsikas.
In order to carry out the transfer to the new building, the operation of the laboratory is suspended from Monday 26/2/24 until Saturday 9/3/24. Classes will start once more on Monday 11/3/24 at the same times at the new address.
