The head of government, Aziz Akhannouch, launched, on Friday, a series of development projects and inquired regarding the progress of other projects in local authorities in the Province of Tiznit.
This visit is part of the implementation of the proximity policy, in accordance with the High Royal Directives aimed at reducing socio-spatial disparities and developing rural and mountainous areas, and confirms the interest in reducing of these disparities in the government program.
In this capacity, Mr. Akhannouch chaired the launch of two health centers, namely the level 1 rural health center of “Ouijjane” and the level 2 urban health center “Tafraout”, with a view to strengthening the supply of health in the Souss-Massa region and bring health services closer to targeted populations.
These centers will provide a diverse range of health services including general medical consultations, nursing care, monitoring of chronic diseases, as well as monitoring of maternal and child health, school health, and health awareness and education services.
It is also the launch of the Lalla Rkia Center for people with specific needs in the municipality of Ammeln (Tafraout), for social and medical care, socio-educational support and professional training for the benefit of these people. .
The head of government, at the same time, chaired the launch of the Tafraout wastewater treatment plant as he inquired regarding the progress of the drinking water supply project for Tafraout and neighboring communities, two projects carried out by the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE).
He also paid a visit to the Issi Ait Manssour Valley, where he followed a presentation of the integrated development program of the valley. This program, intended for the development of 12 douars, aims to highlight the assets of the valley and strengthen its resilience in the face of climate change.
Mr. Akhannouch also attended the presentation of the development program for the province of Tiznit financed by the National Agency for the Development of Oasis Zones and the Argan Tree (ANDZOA), and the progress of the program. development of rural roads in the province of Tiznit 2024-2025.
He attended the launch of work on the project relating to the widening and strengthening of regional road No. 104, linking the commune of Tahala and the borders of the province of Taroudant through Tafraout.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Akhannouch underlined the importance of the programs launched in the development of the region and the fight once morest social and territorial disparities.
All of these projects will contribute to promoting the economic, social and tourist development of the region, he added.
For his part, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, emphasized the importance of the projects launched, including the integrated development program of the valley Issi Ait Manssour, aiming in particular to upgrade the valley’s protection infrastructure once morest flooding and the mobilization of water resources, as well as the development of agriculture resilient to climate change.
Returning to the launch of the first level rural health centers in Ouijjane, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khaled Ait Taleb, for his part, indicated that this action is part of the policy of rehabilitation and equipment of public health institutions, in accordance with the High Royal Instructions, aimed at undertaking a radical and profound reform of the national health system.
These projects were launched in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khaled Ait Taleb, the Minister Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, as well as the president of the Council of the region, Karim Achengli, the wali of the Souss-Massa region, governor of the prefecture of Agadir Ida Outanane, Said Amzazi, the director General Director of ANDZOA, Latifa Yaakoubi, and the Director General of ONEE, Abderrahim El Hafidi.
