Today, Sunday, the employees of the Directorate of Public Finance issued a statement in which it said: “Employees of the Ministry of Finance have received and continue to receive, since last week, countless accusations, slander, insults, and insults from their colleagues in all the wires, retirees, and citizens, and they have taken them as an object of ridicule and have become the talk of talk shows and social media platforms.” The employees of the Ministry of Finance were forced to bear all of the above, remaining silent, so that the concerned authorities might put an end to these lies and slander.”

He added, “But since no one has taken his place, and some are still terrified and suffering, the facts must be clarified: First, the financial situation of any of the sectors in the state cannot be stabilized without referring to our ministry.
Secondly, we have been keen to carry out our duties to the fullest extent since the events of October 17, 2019 and through the stage of the spread of the Corona epidemic leading to the complete economic collapse, and we did not allow delaying the payment of salaries, compensation, wages and pensions that were paid on time except by force, and they were and still are among our priorities, and receiving… Transactions, supplying the treasury with taxes and fees, and completing the general budget within the legal deadlines, despite all the difficulties.”

He continued, “Thirdly, the Ministry of Finance has refused, since the beginning of granting employees assistance under several names (social assistance, productivity allowance, temporary compensation), to distinguish its employees from the rest of the employees in all departments, and this position has been translated into the applied texts issued for this purpose, not to mention many Among the draft decrees that have been prepared since the summer are based on comprehensive studies that took a great deal of effort and time to help approve an increase given to all employees in departments without discrimination.”

He continued, “Fourthly, during the current month of February, we were exposed to several injustices, as we, as employees, were linked to the loan project that was circulated on the radio stations, and we were not concerned with defending and clarifying it. On the twenty-sixth and twenty-second of that month, a demonstration took place in front of our ministry building by the so-called Armed Forces retirees and some civilians, and we were prevented from entering it, and some of us were subjected to many violations, including being subjected to pushing some of our female colleagues.”

The statement continued, “In the face of this disgraceful reality, we confirm that the temporary incentives approved for employees working in our ministry (who are not absent from work for any reason) are only part of what we deserve for our fees, and we who have not been lazy and have not neglected our duties. Knowing that these The incentives affect many parties that were not mentioned and were not exposed to them at all. They in turn benefited, nearly a year ago, from incentives that the finance employees were aware of. We advised us not to continue with this approach because it is not based on the principle of justice. This recklessness continued until the Ministry of Finance employees announced last November that they would stop working. With a unilateral decision by them and with all courage, and nothing deterred them from their decision except the promise of approving a decree that would be issued as of the first of December 2023, which did not happen.”

He added: “It is as if it is a campaign directed specifically at us. Our question is following this slander and arbitrary talk that has been directed at us from all sides, especially from our colleagues in public administrations. Where are their presidents and the ministers in charge of them regarding this harm? And why were they silent during the entire period extending from the year 2019 until today?” “We did not hear any meeting to try to compensate the employee for the losses he received. Rather, the Ministry of Finance took the initiative to put forward proposals and submit studies.”

He added, “Based on what was stated above, the employees of the Ministry of Finance are interested in stating the following: Now that matters have reached the point of harming our dignity, we declare a complete closure and will not back down from our decision before correcting this distortion through the following: Completing the disbursement of the approved temporary incentives that were resorted to.” As a temporary solution, compensation will only be given to those who have not stopped working so that they can continue, and this is nothing compared to the efforts that have been made and are still being made.”

He continued, “Stop arrogance and avoid any harm being done to us, whether in word or deed.” He said that all those in charge of the military and administrative corps should bear responsibility for what was issued by their subordinates, which was mentioned above.

He concluded: “Taking appropriate measures so that no one is allowed to use the Ministry of Finance buildings as a vehicle to implement their personal goals.”
