Sobraga launches “My first Montreux Africa by Castel Beer”, a program to detect and promote young talents

The Société des brasseries du Gabon (Sobraga), in partnership with GF production, launched the 4th edition of the casting called: “My first Montreux Africa by Castel Beer”, a program which aims to detect, promote and promote young people talents from the African continent in theater and humor.

The program concerns young people from nine (09) French-speaking African countries. These include Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, DRC, Ivory Coast, Guinea Conakry, Congo and Gabon.

One of the rooms of the French cultural center of Libreville (CCF) was stormed this weekend by several amateur and semi-professional comedians, all talented. Facing the camera, over an interval of 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the sensitivity of the jury, they followed one another with sketches as diverse as they were varied, all with the ardent desire to be selected and continue this great adventure.

“We are aimed more at young talents, we are trying to push the new generation. And followingwards, given that the ultimate goal of this competition is to play in Montreux in Switzerland, we are looking for talents who have this capacity for adaptability and open-mindedness as well”explained Clément Michel, artistic director of the program.

After Gabon, the team will go to Cameroon where the same process will be done. It will then be deployed to Lomé in Togo before Abidjan in Ivory Coast.

Young budding talents who will have the chance to reach the semi-finals will benefit from Masterclass series, training with professionals, whether in humor or theater, for better supervision, it is indicated. .
