This is a great way to start the year 2024! Competing in the 10 km of the Castellón Marathon (Spain) this Sunday, February 25, Valentin Gondouin struck a major blow, confirming the progress made in 2023.

By finishing sixth in 27’53”, the 24-year-old Flérien, licensed to the Entente Athlétique Mondeville Hérouville, put a huge dent in his personal best (- 43 seconds; 28’36” previously). But the last French 10,000m champion above all signed the sixth best French performance of all time.

Enough to position yourself in the race for participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (minima at 27’00” over 10,000 m)!

Boulent and Brulbault shine in the French youth championships. This Saturday, November 24, in Nantes, Louise Boulent (EAMH) became French junior indoor pole vault champion by clearing 4.1 5 m. She improved her record (4.12 m, 10 days ago) and outclassed the competition (2nd and 3rd at 3.90 m). Cadet Mahmood Brulbault (Caen AC) also became French champion in the 60m hurdles (7”72). The scenario is quite crazy since following winning his series then his semi-final, the Caennais won a final which had to be resorted to 2 hours later (due to an error by the judges who had left the last hurdle of the competitors at 99 cm compared to 91 cm for cadets). Despite the fatigue, the Caennais did not tremble.
