NEW YORK (AP) — Jaylen Brown scored 30 points, Kristaps Porzingis added 22 and the NBA-leading Boston Celtics beat the New York Knicks 116-102 on Saturday for their eighth straight victory.

Jayson Tatum scored 19 points and Derrick White added 13 for the Celtics, who have won 10 of their last 11 games.

Jalen Brunson scored 34 points and Josh Hart added 16 for the Knicks, who were swept by Boston in this season’s four-game series.

Boston opened the second half with a 4-point lead before unleashing a 30-11 run to extend the lead.

Isaiah Hartenstein made a pair of free throws to cut New York’s deficit to 67-61, and Porzingis and Tatum hit consecutive 3-pointers to make the score 73-66.

The Knicks and Celtics traded baskets before Porzingis went on a 10-0 run and Brown closed it out to extend the lead to 88-71 with 3:53 left in the quarter.

The Knicks responded with a 13-2 run between the end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth quarter, cutting the lead to 99-90, but the Celtics took advantage of turnovers and missed shots to start a burst and extend the lead by 109 -90 with 4:43 left in regulation.
