Botox and facelift: These royals have gone under the knife
Queen Letizia, Sarah Ferguson and Co. have all already had visits to the beauty doctor. Who stood by it publicly and who didn’t?

Queen Letizia, Sarah Ferguson, Countess Alexandra and the Duchess of Alba all have something in common.
-
They have all already undergone various beauty treatments or operations.
-
While most people stand by their interventions, others deny it.
Queen Letizia of Spain
Before becoming queen, Queen Letizia (51) was a journalist for the ABC and EFE press agencies. Since then, not only has the 51-year-old’s status changed – some of her facial features also appear to have changed. For example, in 2008 she had her nose operated on. At the time she had a slight bump on her nose, which has now completely disappeared.
An official statement said the procedure was necessary due to “breathing problems”. However, Letizia seems to have helped with her once pointed chin, although she never admitted this. She is also often accused of having Botox treatment. According to her sister, Telma Ortiz Rocasolano (50), these accusations are unfounded: “She completely rejects Botox treatments and uses natural, toxin-free cosmetics,” Telma told the Spanish magazine “Vida y Estilo”.
Duchess Sarah Ferguson
The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson (64), recently made headlines because of her skin cancer. But the Duchess doesn’t just talk openly and honestly regarding her health; in the past she has confirmed several times that she had previously undergone Botox treatment.
In 2019, she told Femail: “I had Botox a long time ago when nothing else was available on the market. But I don’t like the frozen look.” However, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife seems to be less averse to newer methods; she had stitches pulled under her facial skin a few years ago. Ferguson should also undergo regular mesotherapy, where vitamins are injected under the skin.
Countess Alexandra von Frederiksborg
The ex-wife of Prince Joachim of Denmark (54) does not seem to be ashamed of her beauty procedures, on the contrary, in 2021 the 59-year-old even insisted on coming clean. Her press officer, Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen, confirmed a “mini facelift” and told the Danish magazine “Billed Bladet”: “Not only because it is clear, but also because the Countess believes that modern women have to own their decisions stand and not be ashamed. It gradually becomes a natural thing to have something done.”
Duchess Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart of Alba
The Duchess of Alba never stood by any of her procedures until her death in 2014, according to several media outlets. She even increasingly denied this, surprising many people.
However, a number of portals that specialize in surgical procedures claim to be able to detect clear signs of “face lifts, eyebrow lifts, nose jobs, lip injections, facial fat injections” and “multiple Botox injections”.
If you compare pictures from different years you can see the differences. A family friend told The Times: “She obviously overdid it.”
