The Mandolocienne Louise Cervera won the bronze medal this Friday, during the European Championships in Athens in ILCA 6. Her first medal at this level. It proved to be consistent throughout this European Championship despite capricious weather conditions on the Greek coast. This Friday, Louise had a very good final race and thus reached the 3rd step of the podium, behind the Hungarian Maria Erdi and the Lithuanian Viktorija Andrulyte.
“It’s my first podium at a European Championship, it’s so nice! It sets the tone for the future and shows the competitors that they can count on me to get a medal. I was very happy “comfortable in these conditions with light wind. There was even a race that I won by a wide margin in front of the others! These are situations where you have to keep your nerves, I love it! It’s quite typical of the Mediterranean and what we might have in Marseille where all conditions are possible. It’s not easy, but on the water I’m good! Now I’m going home for a few days before quickly resuming training in Marseille.
