Stormy weather has consequences: Fewer trains in North Jutland on Friday

Northern Jutland will not be free from the wind’s effect on train traffic on Friday.

DMI’s warning of wind gusts of hurricane force thus means reduced train traffic in several places in the country, according to Banedanmark.

– Passengers and commuters traveling by train tomorrow morning must be aware that train traffic may be affected over large parts of Jutland, Funen and several places on Zealand, it reads.

– This means that trains will run once an hour in several places and reduced speed to 60 km/h on several sections across the country.

Traffic is affected on the following sections in North Jutland:

Between Hjørring-Frederikshavn and Frederikshavn-Skagen there will be an hourly service until 2 p.m.

On the other hand, the trains normally run according to schedule between Hjørring and Hirtshals. Normal operation is also planned between Hjørring and Aalborg (and on to Skørping).

This is stated by Martin Sort Mikkelsen, who is managing director at Nordjyske Jernbaner A/S.

– But feel free to check the Travel Plan to be absolutely sure, he urges.

According to Banedanmark, the rest of the country is affected as follows:

Hourly operation until 09:00:

Esbjerg-Ribe.

Esbjerg-Varde.

Aarhus H-Herning.

Herning-Struer.

Aarhus H-Langå-Viborg.

Slightly fewer trains until 09:00:

CPH Airport – Slagelse

CPH Airport – Odense

CPH Airport – Aarhus H
