Samsung presented its new lineup for TV, audio, mobile, smart home and home appliances at the “World of Samsung”. As part of its “AI for All” vision, the manufacturer is equipping all devices with AI technology.
Samsung continues to surf the AI wave. The Korean manufacturer invited people to the “World of Samsung” in Frankfurt on February 20, 2024. The in-house exhibition for the European market was all regarding AI applications that Samsung integrates into all of its products.
“At World of Samsung, we celebrate how the possibilities of artificial intelligence are here today – and how they will improve the lives of our users now and in the future,” said Benjamin Braun, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Europe.
It was only in January that Samsung introduced its new Galaxy S24 smartphone series, the models of which are packed with AI functions. The manufacturer also presented the series at the “World of Samsung”. Artificial intelligence is also intended to provide a solution in the smart home, for example in the new Family Hub refrigerator, as Samsung has now announced. This has the “AI Vision Inside” function, an internal camera that automatically creates a list of the food in the fridge and updates it when something is taken out.

Washing machine washes more thoroughly, robot vacuum cleaner causes fewer accidents
A new circulation pump and improved AI algorithms are intended to make Samsung’s Bespoke AI washing machine more energy efficient. An AI washing function with five different sensors can individually adjust the washing performance for each load and is intended to wash more thoroughly. The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo vacuum cleaner robot is said to be able to move more precisely around the home and recognize more objects using improved AI object recognition. With the “AI Floor Detect” function, it also recognizes the respective floor surface and can adjust the cleaning performance accordingly, as Samsung’s Bespoke Jet AI vacuum cleaner already does.
Flagship TV lets sharper balls fly
Samsung also used the “World of Samsung” to show off its current TV and audio lineup. The focus is on the 2024 Neo QLED 8k flagship television. According to the manufacturer, the integrated Gen3 processor has an AI engine (NPU) that is said to be two times faster than the previously used Gen2 processor. This makes it Samsung’s fastest processor to date. The resulting image quality should bring users closer to the content than before. An AI Motion Enhancer Pro is intended to primarily benefit sports fans and reduce ball distortion when streaming high-resolution games. It automatically recognizes the sport and uses AI deep learning technology to apply the correct ball recognition model, writes Samsung.
The Korean manufacturer also presented the further development of its transparent display technology, Transparent Micro LED. It can be integrated into future technologies to offer more options for transparent display applications.
Smart picture frame delivers surround sound
For audio lovers, Samsung introduced The Music Frame customizable speaker. It can be seamlessly integrated into Samsung’s smart home system SmartThings. The Music Frame works as an independent wireless speaker or can be paired with a Samsung TV and soundbar via the Q-Symphony function to expand surround sound capabilities and boost bass, according to the manufacturer. Like “The Frame” television, it disguises itself as a picture frame in the home
By the way: Samsung presented two major innovations at the ISE 2024 in Barcelona. The manufacturer showed, for example, how digital signage screens can be sensibly integrated into the Internet of Things with “Smartthings for Business”. The company also launched the VXT software platform for administration and content creation at the trade fair – find out more here.
