The series of jazz concerts at the Agora theater under the artistic direction of pianist and composer Georgios Tsolis, continues with a series of concerts that aspires to become a point of reference for the international Jazz community, and to bring the public of Patras closer to this kind of musical idiom .
In the second concert of this series, Pianist Georgios Tsolis collaborates with two well-known jazz musicians, the double bass player George Roulos and the very experienced trumpeter, member of the big band of the Municipality of Athens, Manos Theodosakis.
On Tuesday 20 February, the three musicians will offer an evening of main stream jazz and bring the audience closer to the tradition of this music, each in their own unique way. Compositions from the classic jazz repertoire of the bebop era and from the American song book will be heard. Compositions by Cole Porter as well as originals by Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk and other legendary jazz musicians will bring the audience back to the golden age of the 40s, 50s and 60s.
With impatience, the 3 musicians will be happy to meet the music-loving public of Patras and to share their love for music.
Jazz Us aspires to become an artistic pole of attraction and the event that will put the city of Patras on the jazz map.
