NVIDIA announces the winners in the five competition categories, highlighting innovative content using cutting-edge technologies on the NVIDIA Studio platform

NVIDIA, in partnership with Microsoft, announced the names of the winners of the second edition of the NVIDIA Studio Nights competition. It was a regional event held at twofour54 in Abu Dhabi that focused on the talents of talented local content creators who design their content by taking advantage of the power of the NVIDIA Studio platform and RTX graphics processing units, and provided them with the opportunity to network with other artists and designers. This year, the competition witnessed competition in five categories: 3D design, digital arts, photography and videography, computer-generated images, and the NVIDIA Canvas Art category.

Nadim Sharif won in the 3D Design category, Mohannad Nasr won in the Videography category, Aziza Khashash won in the Photography category, Joseph John won in the NVIDIA Canvas Art category, and Musab Sharif also won in the Computer Generated Image category. Each of the winners received a Studio 2 laptop from Microsoft that contains an NVIDIA RTX graphics processing unit, in addition to a Surface Slim Pen 2, which allows a smooth transition from canvas to design and drawing on the laptop’s touch screen.

Muhannad Nasr said: “The NVIDIA RTX GPU was extremely helpful in preparing the video, especially the AI and encoding capabilities. It allows tasks to be performed more quickly and smoothly, and enables the user to shoot videos in 4K, 8K or even 12K quality without worrying regarding speed and accuracy. The Firefly feature in Photoshop was absolutely amazing, and it enabled me to delete any unwanted details or add new elements to the clip within seconds thanks to the capabilities of artificial intelligence.

In turn, Aziza Khashash said: “I own an NVIDIA RTX machine and it’s very important to us as designers that the GPU is extremely fast. Although I have an older version, which is the 2060 version, it is still very efficient. “What we really struggle with is the need to open a number of applications at the same time which causes the device to slow down, but thanks to NVIDIA, I can maintain speed and smooth workflow even when using multiple applications at the same time.”

Commenting on the victory, Joseph John said: “I used NVIDIA Canvas, which is an artificial intelligence tool that creates images based on brush movements, and includes a set of more than ten materials and many different scenarios, and it is all done on the device and not in the cloud, which means the designer needs a very powerful device – which NVIDIA provides.” . The beauty of the creative process is knowing the right time to stop, because creativity has no limits, and it was amazing to see the details in my work emerging from just brush movements.”
It is noteworthy that attendees were able to experience the latest laptops that operate with RTX units, including Microsoft Laptop Studio 2, Surface Slim Pen 2, and many applications that operate with artificial intelligence technologies from NVIDIA, such as Canvas, Omniverse, and Broadcast.

In this context, Chantel Taved, Marketing Director at NVIDIA in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, said: “We saw an incredible amount of creativity in the entries, proving that content creators are truly taking advantage of the NVIDIA Studio platform and RTX GPUs. We look forward to hosting more events for local content creators and artists so that they can participate together in innovation, creativity and benefit from the latest capabilities of technology.
