Prince George will soon be changing schools. The ten-year-old is moving to middle school and is leaving Lambrook School in Berkshire. Kate (42) and William (41) apparently already have a favorite: the prestigious St Edward’s School in Oxford.
The institution, also known as “Teddies”, costs around 53,000 francs a year or 4,400 francs a month. An employee confirmed to the Daily Mail that the royals had visited the school.
St Edward’s has links to Oxford University
“Teddies” boasts over a hundred years of experience. The school was founded in 1863 and is currently headed by Alastair Chirnside. He studied classical antiquity and French at Merton College.
The school’s values include integrity, kindness and courage. “Our mission is to prepare our students for the rest of their lives by nurturing their talents, enabling them to discover new ones and achieve their potential,” she writes on her website.
She justifies the high price of the school by saying, among other things, that 90 percent of the students go on to take a place at the world’s leading universities. Because of her location, in the middle of Oxford, she has good connections to the university.
George might take these courses
George would have the option of either living at the school or just spending the day there. Due to the distance from the family’s current home, it is obvious that he would go to boarding school. Windsor Castle is an hour’s drive away.
He would have to go to school from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or even 9 p.m. The prince comes into contact with many different ethnic groups: around 40 different nationalities are represented at St Edward’s School.
Sports activities have been important at the school since its founding. George might join the rugby, cricket or rowing team. In addition to the required subjects of English, math, science and modern languages, George might also take courses in sustainability, music technology, sports science, jewelry entrepreneurship, theater, design, art and antiquity.
The 405,000 square meter area includes a chapel, a health center, a golf course and even a boathouse.
Prince George is changing schools in the summer
William and Harry both attended Eton College, located near Windsor Castle. Kate, on the other hand, went to school at Marlborough College. George is said to have already been guaranteed a place and a personal carer there. However, the school had become too conspicuous for the royals. Kate would rather have a school that keeps her children grounded. In addition to “Teddies,” according to the “Mail on Sunday,” Oundle School in Northamptonshire is also in the running. Kate and William have to decide soon, as George’s transfer to school is already scheduled for this summer.
