Opened this Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the Dixinn Court of First Instance, the pleadings and requisitions in the trial of the secretary general of the Guinea Press Union have ended.
After the public prosecutor’s requisitions, the floor returned to the defense lawyers who made a request for provisional release for their client on the basis of article 244 of the code of criminal procedure.
A request once morest which the public prosecutor opposed, considering that it is not favorable in this procedure.
At the end of the debates, the president of the court rejected this request from the defense and put the case under advisement for a decision to be rendered on February 23.
Regarding the pleadings, the defense lawyers argued for the dismissal of Sékou Jamal Pendessa for prosecution. They believe there was no violation.
