This Thursday, February 15, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) announced that rains will prevail in a large part of the country, due to the entry of humidity from the Gulf of Mexico, the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea; On the other hand, a polar trough will cause a slight drop in temperatures and the fall of snow and/or sleet in some mountainous areas.

During this Thursday and Friday, a polar trough will cross the Mexican Republic and will interact with the new cold front number 35 and its mass of arctic air that will move quickly over the northwest of the country, causing a marked drop in temperature in a large part of the national territory. .

Therefore, showers and heavy rains accompanied by electric shocks and possible hail are expected over states in the north, northwest, west, center east and southeast of Mexico. With occasional very heavy rains in the capital, as well as falling snow or sleet in the mountains and in other states.

At noon, a cold environment is expected with a minimum maximum temperature of 12 to 13° C, and maximum gusts of light winds of 10 to 20 km/hour are also expected in most of the entity.

In addition, the National Water Commission (Conagua) indicated that this day will be very cloudy, with the probability of rain in most of the entity with strong to very strong intensity of 20 to 50 mm, as well as snow fall in the high areas of the western mountain range.

On the other hand, Friday will continue to be cloudy and with a probability of moderate to heavy rains in most of the state, with snow falling in the high areas of the mountains.

Meanwhile for this weekend, Saturday will continue to be cloudy with a chance of scattered rains of less than 5 mm in much of the state. However, Sunday is expected to be clear with no chance of precipitation in the entity.
